2. Submit to the dispatcher the needed information( organization name, pin number if needed, nature of the interpretation, select language)
3. Once the interpreter is connected, you would be placed on hold untill the 3rd party is reached for the conference call.
TIPS HOW TO USE AN INTERPRETER:
***After you are connected, give the interpreter your name and the non-English speakers name.
***Briefly inform the interpreter about the nature of the conference call,
***Speak clearly in short phrases, pausing to allow for the interpretation.
***Use simple language to express your meaning. Remember that slang does not translate.
***Ask one question at a time.
***Don't say anything that you do not want interpreted. Remember, the Interpreter will say exactly what you will say.
***Allow the interpreter to stop you and seek an explanation when necessary and to repeat back to you any critical information that requires clarification.
